A Word About Your Papers
The course guide specifies "All papers must be typed, with footnotes and bibliographies."
You must submit footnotes and bibliographies on all papers. Pages 8, 9, and 10 of the course guide suggest appropriate bibliographic sources. You are certainly not limited to these suggestions but you are *REQUIRED* to seek and cite additional sources beyond the text book.
These are academic papers, not informal papers. Please try to avoid colloquial expressions and, if possible, avoid excessive use of the first person pronouns "I" or "we", use instead "one". Rowell uses the first person plural pronoun extensively but you should avoid it.
If you want to send me a personal note, feel free to do so. I welcome them, but not in your paper. Make it a separate letter.
Use MLA style documentation to cite your sources.
Please feel free to submit your assignments electronically as e-mail attachments. I have translators that can handle most word processors for Windows or Macintosh.
